Welcome to our Martial Arts program! Forged Warrior Martial Arts offers classes that are rooted in various yet traditional styles of martial arts. We have developed a proprietary blend of styles of martial arts that allows a student a full spectrum of techniques and skills and confidence to arm them for whatever situation they may be faced with. Our school of thought is based on the ancient form of Busido, or way of the warrior. For centuries this has been a governing philosophy for many martial artists. It provides us a framework of how we should live our lives. Courtesy, Respect, Discipline, and Courage are cornerstones in the Bushido lifestyle. We have always taught that martial arts is a way of life. Martial arts is a way of life because it practices mindfulness and adds a sense of balance, both physically and spiritually. When you practice a strike, a throw, or an exercise, the goal is to understand your body and be one with the movement. In time, the goal is to be completely present in the moment and learn how to bring out that amount of centeredness when you need it. All the stresses in your life become much more manageable when you know how to find your center and understand that you have the mental and physical tools you need to overcome the problem.
Our curriculum at Forged Warrior Martial Arts encompasses many areas of martial arts and self defense. On your road to Black Belt you will learn what we like to call the Forged Four. The Forged Four is a specific blend of four martial arts styles that are melded and forged into our own unique style. This unique style begins with a foundation of Tae Kwon Do with elements of Aikido and Jujitsu, and finally finishes with Jeet Kune Do, a style created and made famous by the one and only Bruce Lee!
Once a student reaches Black Belt, they will begin training in other interesting styles such as weapons training, Systema (Russian hand-to-hand combat), and Dem Mok. Throughout all levels of training, a student will be pushed both physically and mentally to become stronger and more confident. Our curriculum is designed to provide a broad base of skills, knowledge, and techniques to arm each student to tackle all the challenges in their life regardless, not just physical defense or violence.
Our instructors are expertly trained martial artists and experienced teachers dedicated to enhancing the lives of students. No matter what level a person has achieved, there is always more knowledge to gain and ways to refine one’s techniques. That is why our instructors continue to educate themselves in their martial art traditions. They understand that being able to impart knowledge is not a simple process. It requires keen observations about individuals and how they receive information, so you can make slight changes quickly to facilitate learning.
Sensei Robby is a Master Black Belt and the founder and CEO of Forged Warrior Martial Arts & Fitness. He also has 24 years experience studying martial arts and over 10 years of teaching. He trained under Master Rick Short, starting at the young age of 4 and quickly became the youngest Black belt in the country by the age of 8. Since then he has focused his training on ability to react and perform in whatever situation. He prides his martial arts background, as well as his formal education of fitness and the human body, as a means to properly prepare students to lead balanced, healthy, and protected lives.
Sensei Buck is the father of Master Robby. They each trained together under the mentorship of Master Rick Short where he also earned the level of Master Black Belt. Sensei Buck began studying martial arts as a family activity with his son, but soon fell in love with it. After his 30 year career in the military working to the level of Senior Master Sergeant, he began teaching martial arts to students of all ages. Growing up for part of his life in Okinawa, Japan and then spending half a lifetime in the military allows Sensei Buck to instill constructive discipline into his students. He has become known among students as the forms/katas master.
